I was always outdoors growing up in the Philippine countryside.

If I’m not with my Papa riding a bicycle or a carabao (water buffalo), you’ll find me with my cousins exploring our backyard and making toys out of leaves, rocks, or tin cans.

We never stayed in one place. Either we’re chilling on our aunt’s guava tree, extracting nectars and making bracelets out of santan flowers (Jungle geranium), chasing each other on the streets, or venturing out to the farmland looking for swimming holes to cool off for the day!

Who knew I was born an adventurer?

However, I found myself pursuing Nursing and eventually moved to Australia only to find out that this career is not where my true passion lives. I loved some aspects of it, though. To this day my clinical knowledge is still serving me, and I am grateful for that!

Now I am changing the narrative - exploring and adventuring…

just like the old times.
